Honoring the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, which revolutionized the quality of American whiskey, this well-aged bourbon comes only from barrels filled during the same distilling season.

The unmistakable spice of 1792 meets notes of charred oak and fresh mint. Subtle caramel apple tones are delicately balanced with a lingering essence of coffee and black pepper, for a bold taste and a long finish.

Its distinctive rounded bottle makes it a handsome gift.

Bourbon must be made in the United States from a mash of at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak containers, and straight bourbon must be aged at least two years. Those rules give bourbon its characteristic sweetness, with caramel and vanilla drawn from the charred barrels.

Bottled-in-bond rules require at least four years of aging, so every bottle has real maturity.

At 100 proof, it has the backbone to shine in cocktails while staying smooth neat.

A splash of water opens up the mint and caramel apple.

It is a favorite among bartenders for spirit-forward drinks.

Bardstown is known as the Bourbon Capital of the World.

Its value and quality make it a reliable everyday bourbon.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Charred oak and fresh mint.

Palate: Caramel apple and spice.

Finish: Coffee and black pepper.

Specifications

Distillery: Barton 1792, Bardstown, Kentucky

Style: Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled in bond

Proof / ABV: 100 proof (50% ABV)

Region: Kentucky, USA

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Enjoy it on the rocks, neat, or in a bold Old Fashioned or Manhattan.
