It is bottled at 112.8 proof.

The Discovery series showcases Bardstown Bourbon Company's skill at blending, and 2026 marks its move from numbered batches to an annual release. The blend brings together a 10-year-old Indiana bourbon (55%), an 11-year-old Kentucky bourbon (25%) and a 7-year-old Kentucky bourbon (20%). Garryana, or Oregon white oak, is a rare Pacific Northwest oak prized for its spicy, aromatic character.

The nose brings toasted oak, burnt sugar and baked apple cobbler. On the palate come dried cherry, cinnamon bark and caramelised fruit, and the finish is long and warm, with toasted oak and the distinctive Garryana spice.

The bottle's fiery orange label makes it a striking gift for bourbon collectors.

Add a few drops of water to open up the fruit.

Bourbon must be made in the United States from a mash of at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak containers, and straight bourbon must be aged at least two years. Those rules give bourbon its characteristic sweetness, with caramel and vanilla drawn from the charred barrels.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Toasted oak, burnt sugar and baked apple cobbler.

Palate: Dried cherry, cinnamon bark and caramelised fruit.

Finish: Long and warm, with toasted oak and Garryana spice.

Specifications

Producer: Bardstown Bourbon Company

Style: Blend of Straight Bourbon Whiskies

Expression / Batch: Discovery 2026

Age: Bourbons aged 7, 10 and 11 years

Proof / ABV: 112.8 proof (56.4% ABV)

Cask / Finish: Rested four months in hand-toasted Garryana oak

Region: Indiana and Kentucky

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Serve it neat with a few drops of water.
