It is just as good in a Margarita, a Paloma with grapefruit soda, or a Ranch Water with sparkling mineral water and lime. Sip it neat to taste its earthy agave. Pair it with tacos al pastor, carne asada, ceviche and guacamole. For a party, set out cola, limes, salt and plenty of ice for a Batanga bar. For a gathering, chill the bottle and set out glasses, ice and garnishes so guests can serve themselves. A bottle also makes a thoughtful host gift for a dinner party or the holidays.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Batanga?
Tequila, fresh lime and cola in a salt-rimmed glass, created at La Capilla in Tequila.

Who makes it?
Casa Orendain, founded in 1926.

How strong is it?
It is bottled at 40% ABV, or 80 proof.

Explore more in our Tequila collection.
