The western frontier was a wild crossroads of cultures, a melting pot where robust new combinations formed constantly, and the blend mirrors that spirit. Heim, who has won more than 40 medals as a distiller, leads the brand, with Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone as partners.

A highly unique blend with a strong body and rich mouthfeel, it opens with a big nose of dried fruit and vanilla, a Western whiskey with backbone for sipping or mixing.

The portrait label makes it a memorable gift for history buffs.

Blending rye and single malt creates a spicy yet malty profile.

American single malt is a fast-growing whiskey category.

A splash of water opens up the dried fruit notes.

It pairs with grilled steak, smoked meats or dark chocolate.

Try it in a Whiskey Sour or Boulevardier.

It is a perfect gift for fans of Western history.

Fans of Tombstone and Doc Holliday lore will love the story.

It shines at cookouts, poker nights and campfires.

The bottle makes a great conversation piece.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Big: dried fruit, vanilla.

Body: Strong.

Mouthfeel: Rich.

Specifications

Master Blender: Melissa (Mel) Heim

Style: Western whiskey: straight rye and American single malt blend

Proof / ABV: 90 proof (45% ABV)

Origin: USA

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Enjoy it neat, on the rocks or in a Western-style Old Fashioned or Manhattan.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is in the blend?
Straight American rye whiskey and American single malt.

Who was Big Nose Kate?
A Hungarian-born frontier entrepreneur and companion of Doc Holliday.

Who blends it?
Master Blender Mel Heim.

Explore more in our American Whiskey collection.
