cambio-tequila-blanco-750ml
Cambio Tequila Blanco 750ml

Cambio Blanco is an additive-free, single-estate 100% Blue Weber agave tequila from the Highlands of Jalisco (NOM 1605), barrel fermented and rested in French oak wine barrels, bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV).

Cambio approached its blanco with a higher set of standards at every step. Whole Blue Weber piñas are roasted slow and low in stone and brick ovens, and the juice is extracted with a traditional tahona stone wheel. Fermentation is slow, at very low temperatures, using wine yeasts in open-air tanks lined with American white oak and Mexican pine, a step few others have ever considered, with deep well water. Finally, the tequila spends time in used French oak wine barrels, giving the finished spirit a complexity and character unlike most blancos.

The final rest in seasoned French oak wine barrels gives the finished product a distinct depth and complexity that sets this blanco apart.

The tall, minimalist bottle with its vertical label makes a striking gift.

Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.

Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.

Blanco tequila is bottled with little or no aging, so the agave's character leads.

Serve it in a copita or white wine glass to enjoy the aroma.

It makes a refined Margarita with fresh lime and agave syrup.

Tasting Notes

Agave: Slow-roasted Blue Weber.

Barrel: Seasoned French oak wine barrels.

Profile: Distinct depth and complexity.

Specifications

Brand: Cambio

NOM: 1605

Style: Blanco tequila, single estate, additive free

Process: Brick ovens, tahona, wood-tank fermentation with wine yeasts

Rest: Used French oak wine barrels

Proof / ABV: 92 proof (46% ABV)

Region: Jalisco Highlands, Mexico

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Sip it neat or slightly chilled, or mix an elevated Margarita.
