Many of its fruit brandies do not benefit from barrel aging, so they are left water clear, but apple and grape brandies are the exception: they mature beautifully in French oak, which gives them additional depth and complexity. Golden Delicious apples grown in Oregon and Washington are crushed whole, fermented and distilled in a pot still. Hood River Distillers acquired Clear Creek in 2014 and relocated it in 2017 to be closer to the fruit sources.

The result is a harmonious blend of warm spice and subtle sweetness. A pure golden apple character leads, and on the midpalate subtle toffee and vanilla bean notes add depth, before a smooth, dry finish.

A classic Pacific Northwest apple brandy.

Clear Creek's apple brandy range also includes an eight-year-old bottling, and the two-year White Label is the brighter, fresher expression, where the orchard fruit stays front and center. Every sip tells the story of fresh Golden Delicious apples turned into liquid gold.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Golden apple, warm spice.

Palate: Pure apple fruit, toffee, vanilla bean.

Finish: Smooth and dry.

Specifications

Distillery: Clear Creek Distillery, Oregon

Style: Apple brandy

Fruit: Whole Golden Delicious apples from Oregon and Washington

Distillation: Pot still

Aging: At least 2 years in French Limousin oak

Proof / ABV: 80 proof (40% ABV)

Size: 700ml

How to Enjoy It

Enjoy it neat in a snifter after dinner, or use it in classic cocktails such as a Jack Rose or an apple brandy Old Fashioned.

Frequently Asked Questions

What apples are used?
Whole Golden Delicious apples grown in Oregon and Washington.

How is it aged?
At least two years in French Limousin oak.

Who makes it?
Clear Creek Distillery, founded in 1985 in the Pacific Northwest.

Explore more in our Cognac & Brandy collection.
