It took ten years of experimentation to capture the true essence of Oregon's state tree. Hand-picked buds are infused into clear brandy, which is then re-distilled and re-infused with fresh buds before being strained and bottled.

The signature green color comes from the Douglas fir's natural chlorophyll; no artificial color is added. Said to smell and taste like the woods, it offers complex flavors of pine and fresh resin. Clear Creek was born in the orchards of the Pacific Northwest, educated in Europe and mastered in Hood River, Oregon.

A seasonal rarity, it makes an unforgettable gift for adventurous drinkers.

Eau de vie is a clear, unaged fruit or botanical brandy, prized in Alsace for capturing the pure essence of its ingredient.

As a seasonal release, it depends on the brief springtime window when the fir buds are fresh and green.

A small pour goes a long way, and the half-bottle size suits sipping by the thimbleful.

Bartenders use a few dashes to add a forest-fresh note to gin cocktails.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Fresh Douglas fir and pine.

Palate: Resinous and complex.

Color: Natural vibrant green.

Specifications

Distillery: Clear Creek, Oregon

Style: Eau de vie infused with Douglas fir buds

Inspiration: Alsatian Eau de Vie de Bourgeons de Sapin

Color: Natural chlorophyll, no added color

Proof / ABV: 95.5 proof (47.75% ABV)

Region: Oregon, USA

Size: 375ml

How to Enjoy It

Serve it chilled in a small glass as an after-dinner digestif, or add a few drops to a Martini or gin and tonic.
