Developed over two years by Kevin O'Leary and the Código team, this edition merges the floral, berry-forward character of Código's Rosa with the deeper, whiskey-like undertones of a reposado, and the wine barrels give it a pinkish, rose-gold hue.

The aroma balances cooked agave with floral notes, red fruit and soft oak. The palate pairs ripe agave sweetness with vanilla, toasted caramel and a subtle hint of cocoa, the wine barrels adding elegant fruitiness and a silky mouthfeel. The finish is smooth, long and warm, with lingering cinnamon, black pepper and mint.

The bottle, featuring Kevin O'Leary's portrait, makes it a fun collector's gift.

Sip it neat or over a large ice cube.

Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.

Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Cooked agave, florals, red fruit and soft oak.

Palate: Ripe agave, vanilla, toasted caramel and cocoa.

Finish: Long and warm, with cinnamon, black pepper and mint.

Specifications

Producer: Código 1530

Style: Rosa Reposado Tequila

Expression / Batch: Kevin O'Leary The Wonderful Edition

Proof / ABV: 80 proof (40% ABV)

Cask / Finish: French oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon barrels

Region: Amatitán, Jalisco, Mexico

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Sip it neat or over a large ice cube.
