Released under the Springfield Distillery brand, it is presented in a custom basketball-shaped glass decanter and bottled at 100 proof.

Part of Cooperstown's sports legends series, the bourbon was hand-picked by Wilkins himself, and the decanter carries his signature. Inside is a robust straight bourbon from New York, made to be as bold and memorable as the career it honours.

The basketball-shaped decanter makes a spectacular gift for fans and collectors, and a centrepiece for any bar or game room.

Pour it neat on game day, then keep the decanter on display.

Signed sports decanters like this are made in limited numbers, so each one is a keepsake as much as a bottle of bourbon.

Bourbon must be made in the United States from a mash of at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak containers, and straight bourbon must be aged at least two years. Those rules give bourbon its characteristic sweetness, with caramel and vanilla drawn from the charred barrels.

Straight bourbon must be aged at least two years in new charred oak containers and bottled without added colour or flavour. Cooperstown Distillery, in the New York village that is home to the Baseball Hall of Fame, has built a following for its hand-blown sports decanters, and each Elite Edition is signed and hand-picked by a Hall of Famer, which makes these bottles prized by collectors long after the bourbon is gone.

Specifications

Producer: Cooperstown Distillery (Springfield Distillery brand)

Style: Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Expression / Batch: Elite Edition, Dominique Wilkins

Proof / ABV: 100 proof (50% ABV)

Cask / Finish: New charred American oak

Region: Cooperstown, New York

Size: 750ml, glass basketball decanter

How to Enjoy It

Serve it neat or on the rocks.
