It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.

Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Tamarind and cooked agave.

Palate: Tangy-sweet tamarind with herbal notes.

Finish: Smooth and refreshing.

Specifications

Producer: Casa Don Ramón, Jalisco

Style: Flavoured silver tequila

Agave: 100% agave

Flavour: Natural tamarind

ABV: 35% (70 proof)

Origin: Mexico

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Don Ramón Tamarindo is delicious chilled and neat, over ice with a squeeze of lime, or as a shot with a Tajín rim. It makes a vibrant tamarind Margarita with lime and agave, a tangy Paloma with grapefruit soda, and a refreshing highball with mineral water and lime. Pair it with tacos al pastor, ceviche, mango with chilli and lime, and spicy snacks. For a party, set out Tajín, limes and grapefruit soda for a tamarind Paloma bar. For a gathering, chill the bottle and set out glasses, ice and garnishes so guests can serve themselves. A bottle also makes a thoughtful host gift for a dinner party or the holidays.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does it taste like?
Tangy, sweet tamarind with herbal agave notes.

Is it 100% agave?
Yes, it is made with 100% agave.

How strong is it?
It is bottled at 35% ABV, or 70 proof.

Explore more in our Tequila collection.
