Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Cooked agave and light oak.

Palate: Smooth agave with vanilla and gentle spice.

Finish: Warm and clean.

Specifications

Producer: el Jimador, Jalisco

Style: Reposado tequila

Agave: 100% blue Weber agave, hand harvested

Distillation: Double distilled

Ageing: 2–12 months in American oak

ABV: 40% (80 proof)

Origin: Jalisco, Mexico

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

el Jimador Reposado is a natural for margaritas: shake it with fresh lime juice and orange liqueur, or keep it simple with lime and agave syrup. It shines in a Paloma with grapefruit soda and a salted rim, and makes a smooth Tequila Sunrise or a Reposado Old Fashioned. Sip it neat or over ice with an orange slice and a pinch of cinnamon. Pair it with tacos al pastor, carne asada, enchiladas, guacamole and churros. For a gathering, chill the bottle and set out glasses, ice and garnishes so guests can serve themselves. A bottle also makes a thoughtful host gift for a dinner party or the holidays.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it 100% agave?
Yes, it is made from 100% blue Weber agave, hand harvested.

How long is it aged?
Two to twelve months in American oak barrels.

How strong is it?
It is bottled at 40% ABV, or 80 proof.

Explore more in our Tequila collection.
