el-jimador-tequila-silver-750ml
el Jimador Tequila Silver 750ml

el Jimador Silver is a 100% blue Weber agave tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof).

It is double distilled for sparkling clarity, and the agave is hand harvested.

Crisp and buzzing, it greets you with an aroma of rich citrus fruits.

Each sip is fruity and spicy, balanced with herbaceous notes and a warm, spicy finish.

It is named for the jimador, the skilled harvester who cuts the agave by hand, pictured on the embossed bottle.

Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.

Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich citrus fruit.

Palate: Fruity and spicy with herbaceous notes.

Finish: Warm and spicy.

Specifications

Producer: el Jimador, Jalisco

Style: Silver (blanco) tequila

Agave: 100% blue Weber agave, hand harvested

Distillation: Double distilled

ABV: 40% (80 proof)

Origin: Jalisco, Mexico

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Enjoy el Jimador Silver straight, or make your favourite cocktails: a Margarita with fresh lime and orange liqueur, a Paloma with grapefruit soda and a salted rim, or a Ranch Water with sparkling mineral water. It also makes a bright Tequila Sunrise. Pair it with tacos, ceviche, guacamole, elote and grilled shrimp. For a party, set up a margarita bar with fresh juices and salt rims.
