Barrels selected for the single barrel program are at least four years old, and each one is bottled individually, so every release has its own distinct personality, a concentrated expression of the distillery's Texas terroir.

The bourbon pours dark copper, with butterscotch, oak, vanilla and nutmeg on the nose and a palate of sweet oak, caramel and warm spice, leading to a smooth, satisfying finish.

Uncut, single barrel and from one of Texas's pioneering bourbon distilleries, it is a bold gift for any bourbon lover.

Sip it neat, then add a few drops of water to open it.

Bourbon must be made in the United States from a mash of at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak containers, and straight bourbon must be aged at least two years. Those rules give bourbon its characteristic sweetness, with caramel and vanilla drawn from the charred barrels.

Texas bourbon ages fast: the hot summers and cold snaps of the Hill Country push the whiskey deep into the oak and back again, so a four-year-old Texas barrel can show the colour and intensity of a much older Kentucky bourbon. Cask strength single barrels show that character at its most concentrated.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Butterscotch, oak, vanilla and nutmeg.

Palate: Sweet oak, caramel and warm spice.

Finish: Smooth and satisfying.

Specifications

Producer: Garrison Brothers Distillery

Style: Texas Straight Bourbon, Single Barrel, Cask Strength

Age: At least 4 years

Proof / ABV: 122.2 proof (61.1% ABV)

Region: Hye, Texas, United States

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Sip it neat, then with a few drops of water.
