The blend is a tribute to the craft of Master Blender Patrick Raguenaud, and only a very small number of decanters have been released worldwide, making it a true collector's piece.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fresh orange, almond and vanilla, with a hint of spice and sandalwood.

Palate: Bitter orange, nuts and peaches.

Finish: Marzipan and tropical fruit.

Specifications

Producer: Maison Grand Marnier, France

Style: Cognac and bitter-orange liqueur

Cognac: Grande Champagne hors d'âge, including a 70-year-old cognac

Decanter: Handmade Baccarat crystal

ABV: 40% (80 proof)

Origin: France

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Quintessence is made for slow sipping: pour a small measure, neat, into a tulip glass or snifter at room temperature and let it open for a few minutes. Enjoy it after dinner with dark chocolate, crème brûlée, roasted nuts or a quiet evening by the fire. Keep the decanter upright, away from heat and light; once emptied it remains a striking piece of Baccarat crystal. It is an unforgettable gift for a collector, a retirement or a once-in-a-lifetime milestone.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Quintessence made from?
Bigaradia bitter oranges macerated in Cognac and double distilled, blended with rare Grande Champagne hors d'âge cognacs.

Who makes the decanter?
Baccarat; each decanter is mouth-blown and unique.

How should I drink it?
Neat, at room temperature, in a tulip glass or snifter.

Explore more in our Liqueur & More collection.
