grand-mayan-reposado-tequila-ceramic-750ml
Grand Mayan Reposado Tequila Ceramic 750ml

Grand Mayan Reposado is a handcrafted tequila from central-highland blue agave, aged six months in ex-American whiskey casks and finished for two more months in ex-Cognac barrels, bottled at 40% ABV in a hand-painted cobalt ceramic decanter.

The agave is slow cooked in traditional brick ovens and double distilled in copper pot stills. Eight months in barrel make it smooth for sipping, full on the palate and long and layered on the finish. Each ceramic decanter is handcrafted, individually numbered and decorated by Mexican artists with 24K gold applique applied by hand.

It brings sweet cooked agave, oak and dark chocolate.

Its gold-decorated ceramic decanter makes it a showpiece gift.

Sip it neat or over a single large ice cube.

Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.

Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.

Tasting Notes

Agave: Sweet cooked agave.

Oak: American whiskey and Cognac casks.

Finish: Dark chocolate, long and layered.

Specifications

Brand: Grand Mayan

Style: Tequila Reposado, 100% blue agave

Age: 8 months (6 + 2 in ex-Cognac)

Proof / ABV: 80 proof (40% ABV)

Cask / Finish: Ex-American whiskey casks, finished in ex-Cognac barrels

Region: Jalisco highlands, Mexico

NOM: 1173

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Sip it neat or over a large ice cube.
