Their love for America and fine whiskey is what the company is all about, and they believe in supporting veteran and military causes, first responders and their families. The brand draws on the spirit of the Americans who conquered the western frontier and established the first American saloons.

Leadslingers whiskeys are made at Scissortail Distillery in Moore, Oklahoma, in barrels from a veteran-owned cooperage in Indiana. The Minuteman, with a colonial militiaman on its label, is the brand's single malt.

It offers subtle hints of toffee and malt, with toasted oats, caramel and banana chips, in a mellow, approachable presentation. Rich malty notes intertwine with delicate floral undertones, and the 90-proof strength gives it structure, warmth and balance.

The brand was created by members of Article 15 Clothing Company, a veterans group out of Texas, in collaboration with Scissortail Distillery, and it stands for seizing opportunity and honoring tradition. It embodies the spirit of the hard-fighting Americans who forged this nation, and the range has grown to include bourbon, rye, vodka, rum and flavored whiskeys alongside this single malt.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Toffee, malt, light floral notes.

Palate: Toasted oats, caramel, banana chips.

Finish: Mellow, warm and balanced.

Specifications

Brand: Leadslingers

Distillery: Scissortail Distillery, Moore, Oklahoma

Style: American single malt

Founded: 2013 by seven combat veterans

Proof / ABV: 90 proof (45% ABV)

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Sip it neat or with a splash of water, or stir it into a malt-forward Old Fashioned.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who makes Leadslingers?
A brand founded in 2013 by seven combat veterans; the whiskey is made at Scissortail Distillery in Moore, Oklahoma.

What style is Minuteman?
An American single malt whiskey.

What proof is it?
90 proof (45% ABV).

Explore more in our American Whiskey collection.
