Once opened, it should be kept in the refrigerator and enjoyed within a few weeks, as the wine base slowly loses its freshness.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Red berries, sandalwood and herbs.

Palate: Full, with dark cherry and black pepper.

Finish: Woody, herbal and gently bitter.

Specifications

Producer: Martini & Rossi, Pessione, Turin

Style: Vermouth di Torino (sweet red)

Base: Italian wines including Langhe DOC Nebbiolo

Botanicals: Three artemisias, red sandalwood

ABV: 18% (36 proof)

Origin: Italy

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Enjoy Rubino chilled over ice with a twist of orange, or try the Rubino and Tonic: equal parts Rubino and tonic water over ice with an orange slice. It makes an elevated Negroni with gin and bitter aperitivo, a rich Manhattan with rye, and a Boulevardier with bourbon. Pair it with charcuterie, aged cheese, olives and roasted nuts. Like any wine-based aperitif, keep the bottle in the refrigerator once opened and enjoy it within a few weeks. For a gathering, chill the bottle and set out glasses, ice and garnishes so guests can serve themselves. A bottle also makes a thoughtful host gift for a dinner party or the holidays.

Frequently Asked Questions

What wine is it made with?
Italian wines including Langhe DOC Nebbiolo.

What botanicals are used?
Three types of artemisia and red sandalwood, among others.

How strong is it?
It is bottled at 18% ABV.

Explore more in our Wine collection.
