These symphony barrels create a complex ecosystem that keeps enhancing the tequila as it matures, bringing something unpredictable to life. Mijenta is a certified B Corp.

Light straw yellow with silver hues, it offers cooked agave, vanilla, caramel and banana with citrus, herbs and almond. The palate is agave-forward, with vanilla, banana and caramel evolving into chocolate, mint and almond, alongside coconut, fruit and spice from the barrels.

Presented in its striking blue box, it makes a memorable gift.

Sip it neat to appreciate the barrel complexity.

Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.

Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Cooked agave, vanilla, caramel, banana and citrus.

Palate: Vanilla, banana, chocolate, mint and almond.

Barrels: Oak from four US states.

Specifications

Brand: Mijenta

Maker: Maestra tequilera Ana María Romero

Style: Tequila Reposado, limited edition

Age: About 8 months

Proof / ABV: 90 proof (45% ABV)

Cask / Finish: Symphony barrels of Minnesota, Missouri, Pennsylvania and Virginia oak

Region: Jalisco Highlands, Mexico

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Sip it neat.
