Its transatlantic ageing sends Kentucky bourbon to mature in the cooler, damper English climate, which changes how the spirit interacts with the barrel compared with ageing in Kentucky alone.

Bottled at barrel strength from a single cask, it delivers bold, concentrated bourbon character with rye spice.

A rare transatlantic bourbon, it makes a distinctive gift for collectors.

Sip it neat, then add a few drops of water.

Bourbon must be made in the United States from a mash of at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak containers, and straight bourbon must be aged at least two years. Those rules give bourbon its characteristic sweetness, with caramel and vanilla drawn from the charred barrels.

Bourbon must be made in the United States from a mash of at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak; a high-rye mash bill adds pepper and baking spice to the corn's sweetness.

Single barrel whiskey comes from one barrel only and is never blended, so every bottling is unique.

Barrel strength means the bourbon is bottled at the strength it came from the cask, without dilution; a few drops of water open up further aromas.

Each numbered barrel of Never Say Die is released on its own, so proofs and character vary from barrel to barrel.

Tasting Notes

Style: Single barrel, barrel strength.

Mash: High-rye bourbon.

Ageing: Kentucky, then England.

Specifications

Brand: Never Say Die

Style: Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey, single barrel, barrel strength

Expression / Batch: Barrel No. 6

Age: 6 years

Proof / ABV: 106.4 proof (53.2% ABV)

Region: Distilled in Kentucky, matured in England

Size: 700ml

How to Enjoy It

Sip it neat or with a little water.
