The base rye is aged in charred American oak barrels, which give it a balance of floral, liquorice and cinnamon notes.

Unlike traditional finished whiskey, Round Prairie is not finished in a secondary barrel but inside the bottle. Oak & Eden places a five-inch, spiral-cut piece of barrel wood, called a Spire, in each bottle to impart flavours not found in a single barrel alone. The Spire is cut from French oak, porous and rich, containing nearly twice the natural botanicals of American oak, and exposed to fire before it goes into the bottle.

A bold rye with a story, it makes a memorable gift for music and whiskey fans alike.

Enjoy it neat or with a splash of water.

American rye whiskey is made from a mash of at least 51% rye and aged in new charred oak, giving it a spicier, drier character than bourbon, with notes of pepper, herbs and baking spice.

Rye whiskey is made from a mash that is at least 51% rye, which gives it a spicy, herbal character.

Barrel strength means the whiskey is bottled at the strength it came out of the barrel, with no water added.

Tasting Notes

Base: Floral, liquorice and cinnamon.

Finish: In-bottle French oak Spire.

Strength: Uncut barrel strength.

Specifications

Producer: Oak & Eden

Style: Blended Rye Whiskey, barrel strength, in-bottle finished

Proof / ABV: 116 proof (58% ABV)

Cask / Finish: Charred American oak, then a fire-exposed French oak Spire in the bottle

Region: United States

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Enjoy it neat or with a splash of water.
