Rather than resting the whiskey in a secondary barrel, they finish it in the bottle: a spiral-cut piece of seasoned, toasted American oak, the spire, rests inside every bottle, and the wood and whiskey age together for six weeks in the warehouse before release. The spire's patented design and the in-bottle finishing technique are unique to Oak & Eden, and the spire keeps shaping the whiskey after bottling.

The spire brings out deep, bold flavors, with rye spice, cinnamon, licorice and butterscotch over oak and vanilla.

The spire inside makes it a fascinating conversation-piece gift.

American rye whiskey is made from a mash of at least 51% rye and aged in new charred oak, giving it a spicier, drier character than bourbon, with notes of pepper, herbs and baking spice.

Rye whiskeys bring a peppery spice that shines in classic cocktails.

The spire keeps interacting with the whiskey after bottling.

Serve it neat to taste the spire's influence.

A splash of water brings out the butterscotch.

It makes a lively Manhattan.

Pair it with smoked meats.

Its unique bottle sparks conversation at any gathering.

Tasting Notes

Spice: Rye spice, cinnamon.

Sweet: Butterscotch, vanilla.

Accent: Licorice and oak.

Specifications

Brand: Oak & Eden

Style: Rye whiskey, in-bottle spire finish

Mash Bill: 95% rye, 5% malted barley

Finish: Toasted American oak spire in the bottle

Proof / ABV: 90 proof (45% ABV)

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Sip it neat or on the rocks, or stir a Manhattan or Sazerac.
