Woven Honor honours the history of Linkwood distillery, founded in 1821, and its label weaves together the essence of Scotland, from rolling fields of wildflowers to tranquil streams, around a striking green emblem.

Smooth and medium-bodied, it opens with grassy and floral notes. The palate brings green apple, lemon zest, vanilla and honeycomb, with lemon oil, walnut, heather and almond nougat, and the finish is long and controlled, with a faint hint of chimney soot.

The square bottle and illustrated label make it a handsome addition to an Orphan Barrel collection and a fine gift for a Scotch lover.

Linkwood is rarely bottled as a single malt, which makes this release a welcome chance to taste the distillery on its own.

Scotch whisky must be distilled and matured in Scotland for at least three years in oak casks, and any age statement on the label refers to the youngest whisky in the bottle.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Grassy and floral, with lemon oil and walnut.

Palate: Green apple, lemon zest, vanilla, honeycomb and almond nougat.

Finish: Long and controlled, with a hint of chimney soot.

Specifications

Producer: Orphan Barrel (Linkwood distillery)

Style: Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Expression / Batch: Woven Honor

Age: 18 years

Proof / ABV: 92.6 proof (46.3% ABV)

Cask / Finish: American oak ex-bourbon barrels, no finish

Region: Speyside, Scotland

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Serve it neat or with a drop of water.
