pantalones-organic-tequila-anejo-750ml
Pantalones Organic Tequila Añejo 750ml

Pantalones Añejo is an organic, 100% blue Weber agave tequila aged in oak, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).

Pantalones was co-founded by Matthew and Camila McConaughey as an organic tequila with the lively sweetness of blue Weber agave. Its aged expressions rest in American oak whisky barrels, and the añejo, the oldest in the core range, spends more than a year in oak.

The longer rest builds deeper vanilla, caramel and oak around the organic agave while keeping the brand's smooth, easygoing character.

The flask-shaped bottle with its leather pull tab and vintage label makes it a playful gift.

Añejo tequila is aged between one and three years in oak barrels of no more than 600 litres, long enough to add colour, sweetness and spice while keeping the character of the agave, which makes it a natural sipping tequila.

Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.

Organic certification means the agave is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, a choice that shapes the brand from the field to the bottle.

Resting in American oak whisky barrels gives the añejo the warm vanilla and caramel tones that whiskey drinkers will recognize.

Being made from 100% blue Weber agave, the tequila keeps its cooked agave sweetness underneath the oak.

The flask shape is easy to pour and stands out on a back bar or a home shelf.

A slow sip from a snifter lets the aromas build, showing more of the barrel with each minute in the glass.

Pair it with a cigar, a square of dark chocolate or a plate of roasted nuts after dinner.

Mexican law requires añejo tequila to spend at least one year in oak barrels of no more than 600 liters.

Specifications

Brand: Pantalones (Matthew and Camila McConaughey)

Style: Añejo tequila, organic

Agave: 100% organic blue Weber

Proof / ABV: 80 proof (40% ABV)

Region: Jalisco, Mexico

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Sip it neat in a snifter, or mix a tequila Old Fashioned.
