Made from a mash bill of 84% corn, 8% malt and 8% rye with a proprietary yeast strain, just 70 barrels were released.

Puncher's Chance takes its boxing theme from the idea that every fighter has a chance, and The D12tance, its 12-year limited release, is named for going the full distance. The wine-barrel finish brings red fruit and a gentle structure to a long-matured bourbon.

Aromas include vanilla, dark cherry fruit and toasted oak. At 96 proof, warm hints of caramel and vanilla hit the palate first, and as the proof fades the tongue picks up a long, fruity finish reminiscent of the French oak wine barrels.

The tiger-emblazoned bottle makes it a characterful gift for bourbon and wine lovers alike.

Enjoy it neat or with a single ice cube.

Bourbon must be made in the United States from a mash of at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak containers, and straight bourbon must be aged at least two years. Those rules give bourbon its characteristic sweetness, with caramel and vanilla drawn from the charred barrels.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Vanilla, dark cherry and toasted oak.

Palate: Warm caramel and vanilla.

Finish: Long and fruity, from the wine barrels.

Specifications

Producer: Puncher's Chance

Style: Straight Bourbon Whiskey, wine barrel finish

Expression / Batch: The D12tance, 70 barrels

Age: 12 years

Proof / ABV: 96 proof (48% ABV)

Cask / Finish: Finished 2 months in French oak Cabernet Sauvignon barrels

Region: United States

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Serve it neat or with a single ice cube.
