Each release can only be made from barrels Redwood Empire produced within a six-month span, giving true seasonal variance from batch to batch. Collectible and one of a kind, these batches will never be replicated and are always changing, and Redwood Empire calls Rocket Top the purest expression of its craft.

As a bonded whiskey it is the product of one distillery and one distilling season, aged at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse and bottled at exactly 100 proof, so the rye's bold spice comes through with depth and structure.

A seasonal, batch-specific bonded rye, it makes a fine gift for rye collectors.

Sip it neat, or use it in a classic rye Manhattan.

American rye whiskey is made from a mash of at least 51% rye and aged in new charred oak, giving it a spicier, drier character than bourbon, with notes of pepper, herbs and baking spice.

Straight rye whiskey must be made in the United States from a mash of at least 51% rye, aged at least two years in new charred oak and bottled with nothing added but water.

The Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897 was one of America's first consumer protection laws, created to guarantee that whiskey was genuine and unadulterated at a time when many bottles were not.

The cool, foggy climate of the Northern California coast slows maturation compared with the hot rickhouses of Kentucky, giving a gentler, more gradual oak influence.

Tasting Notes

Style: Bottled-in-bond straight rye.

Batches: Barrels from a single six-month span.

Strength: 100 proof.

Specifications

Producer: Redwood Empire Whiskey

Style: Straight Rye Whiskey, Bottled-in-Bond

Expression / Batch: Rocket Top

Age: At least 4 years

Proof / ABV: 100 proof (50% ABV)

Region: Sonoma County, Northern California, United States

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Sip it neat or mix a rye Manhattan.
