ritual-zero-proof-tequila-alternative-750ml
Ritual Zero Proof Tequila Alternative 750ml

Ritual Zero Proof Tequila Alternative is a non-alcoholic spirit that captures the earthy agave flavors, smoky aroma and pleasant heat of tequila, without the alcohol, made for tequila cocktails without compromise.

Ritual Zero Proof is a Chicago company founded by three longtime friends, and it was the first American-made spirit alternative to use all-natural botanicals to echo the taste, smell and burn of liquor. The Tequila Alternative was its third release, after its gin and whiskey alternatives, and it was created with a Margarita in mind.

It is crafted with high-quality ingredients and natural botanical flavors to deliver the grassy flavor, smoky aroma and bright fire of traditional tequila. The label lists blue agave flower, Mexican lime, tropical guava, cracked sea salt, charred oak, mesquite smoke, black peppercorn, capsicum fruit, prickly ash and green bell pepper among its flavor notes. It contains virtually no calories, with only about two calories of sugar per serving.

Expect grassy agave and a hint of smoke on the nose, a bright, peppery palate with lime and a lively warmth on the finish that mimics the burn of tequila.

Ritual Tequila Alternative is designed to be used just like tequila in cocktails. Shake a zero-proof Margarita with fresh lime juice and agave syrup, build a Paloma with grapefruit soda and a salted rim, or mix a Ranch Water with sparkling water and lime. It also works in a spicy Margarita with muddled jalapeño or a Tequila Sunrise-style drink with orange juice and grenadine. Because it is not meant for sipping neat, use it at the same measure as tequila in your favorite recipes. Pair your drinks with tacos, guacamole, ceviche and grilled shrimp. It is an ideal choice for designated drivers, Dry January, expecting parents and anyone taking a night off from alcohol without giving up the ritual of a great cocktail.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Grassy agave, hint of smoke.

Palate: Bright, peppery, lime.

Finish: Lively warmth.

Specifications

Producer: Ritual Zero Proof, Chicago, Illinois

Style: Non-alcoholic tequila alternative

Flavors: Natural botanicals

Alcohol: Non-alcoholic

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Shake a zero-proof Margarita.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it contain alcohol?
No, it is a non-alcoholic tequila alternative.

How do I use it?
Just like tequila, in cocktails such as Margaritas and Palomas.

Can I drink it neat?
It is designed for cocktails rather than sipping neat.

Explore more in our Tequila collection.
