The whiskies are crafted from aged corn, rice and malt whiskies and soft mountain spring water from an area surrounded by mountains, where temperature swings are extreme, at the foot of Mt. Fuji.

Autumn in Japan has a comfortable climate, similar to spring, as the summer heat breaks. Designed to mirror that gentle, crisp season, the Autumn blend has a high malt ratio and a subtly sweet, fruit-forward profile: lemon zest and crisp apple on the nose, a lightly sweet palate of green apple, pear, biscuit and mild oak, and a clean, delicate finish with soft citrus and malt.

A charming seasonal bottle, it makes a delightful gift.

Japanese whisky has earned a worldwide reputation for balance and precision, and limited releases from its historic distilleries are among the most sought-after bottles for collectors.

Japanese blended whisky combines malt whisky with grain whisky, and Shunka Shuto uses corn and rice whiskies as its grain component.

Used bourbon barrels give gentle vanilla and soft oak without overwhelming the delicate fruit of the blend.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Lemon zest and crisp apple.

Palate: Green apple, pear, biscuit and mild oak.

Finish: Clean and delicate, soft citrus and malt.

Specifications

Producer: Shunka Shuto

Style: Japanese Blended Whisky, Autumn

Grains: Corn, rice and malt whiskies (high malt ratio)

Age: 5-6 years

Cask / Finish: Used bourbon barrels

Proof / ABV: 80 proof (40% ABV)

Region: Near Mt.
