tanteo-blanco-tequila-85-proof-750ml
Tanteo Blanco Tequila 85 Proof 750ml

Tanteo Blanco is a higher-proof, 100% blue Weber agave blanco tequila from Jalisco, bottled at 85 proof (42.5% ABV) to make the best-tasting tequila cocktails.

The extra proof gives the agave more presence in a mixed drink. Tanteo recommends pairing it with light citrus flavors that let the floral agave come through: grapefruit, lemon or simply club soda.

Cooked agave is immediate on the nose, with citrus and a hint of baking spice. The palate is bright and peppery, with fresh agave, citrus, tropical fruit and a mineral edge, and the finish is long and vibrant.

A bartender-friendly blanco with a little extra kick.

Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.

Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.

Blanco tequila is unaged or rested less than two months.

Higher proof keeps flavor bright when ice dilutes a drink.

Fresh citrus brings out the floral agave.

It pairs with tacos, ceviche and grilled shrimp.

Serve it chilled in a copita to taste the agave.

It is a great bottle for a home margarita bar.

A salt rim complements the citrus notes.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Cooked agave, citrus, baking spice.

Palate: Bright pepper, fresh agave, tropical fruit, mineral.

Finish: Long and vibrant.

Specifications

Brand: Tanteo

Style: Blanco tequila, 100% blue Weber agave

Proof / ABV: 85 proof (42.5% ABV)

Region: Jalisco, Mexico

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Mix it with grapefruit soda for a Paloma, lemon for a Margarita, or club soda and lime for a Ranch Water.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why 85 proof?
The higher proof keeps the agave bright in cocktails.

What should I mix it with?
Light citrus: grapefruit, lemon or club soda.

How does it taste?
Cooked agave, citrus, pepper and tropical fruit.

Explore more in our Tequila collection.
