tequila-carrera-blanco-still-strength-54-750ml
Tequila Carrera Blanco Still Strength 54 750ml

Tequila Carrera Blanco Still Strength 54 is a bold, additive-free blanco made from 100% Blue Weber agave from Jalisco's Los Altos region and bottled at 108 proof (54% ABV).

It follows Carrera's traditional production process: brick-oven cooking, roller-mill extraction, fermentation with the producer's own yeast, and double distillation. It is crafted by master distiller Mauricio Camarena at NOM 1465, Fábrica de Tequila El Edén in Arandas. Bottled close to still strength, it skips most of the dilution that softens typical blancos, giving a concentrated expression of agave.

Clear and crystalline with a robust body, it opens with pleasant aromas of cooked agave and subtle citrus. On the palate, the strong flavor of agave stands out, with sweet agave, black pepper and a subtle note of vanilla, followed by gentle hints of citrus and a light pepper finish. It is a pure agave bomb in aroma and taste.

The hand-shaped bottle with its copper stopper makes it a prized gift for blanco lovers.

Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.

Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Cooked agave and bright citrus.

Palate: Sweet agave, black pepper, subtle vanilla.

Finish: Light pepper and citrus.

Specifications

Brand: Tequila Carrera

Master Distiller: Mauricio Camarena

NOM: 1465, Arandas, Jalisco

Process: Brick oven, roller mill, double distilled, additive free

Proof / ABV: 108 proof (54% ABV)

Region: Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Sip it neat with a few drops of water to open the aromas, or build a high-proof Margarita.
