teremana-small-batch-anejo-tequila-750ml
Teremana Small Batch Añejo Tequila 750ml

Teremana Añejo is a small-batch 100% blue Weber agave tequila from the Jalisco Highlands, aged for over a year in American whiskey barrels and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).

Teremana was founded by Dwayne Johnson to create a high-quality, responsibly sourced tequila at a price accessible to all; its name means spirit of the earth. Johnson worked with a Mexican family-owned distillery to build a home on its grounds solely for Teremana, Destilería Teremana de Agave in the highlands of Jalisco. The hand-harvested piñas are slow roasted in small 24-ton brick ovens for about three days at a lower temperature than most, open-tank fermented and distilled in copper pot stills handmade on site by a local artisan. Teremana was the first tequila to print nutrition information on the bottle and was named a Master in The Spirits Business awards in 2022.

Rich warm oak, vanilla and roasted agave lead to a lightly sweet and complex finish.

The black-label bottle makes it a handsome gift.

Añejo tequila is aged between one and three years in oak barrels of no more than 600 litres, long enough to add colour, sweetness and spice while keeping the character of the agave, which makes it a natural sipping tequila.

Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Warm oak, vanilla.

Palate: Roasted agave, gentle sweetness.

Finish: Lightly sweet and complex.

Specifications

Founder: Dwayne Johnson

Distillery: Destilería Teremana de Agave, Jalisco Highlands

Style: Añejo tequila

Aging: Over a year in American whiskey barrels

Agave: 100% blue Weber, hand harvested

Proof / ABV: 80 proof (40% ABV)

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Sip it neat or on the rocks, or stir a Tequila Old Fashioned.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is it aged?
Over a year in American whiskey barrels.

Who founded Teremana?
Dwayne Johnson.

How does it taste?
Warm oak, vanilla and roasted agave.

Explore more in our Tequila collection.
