tommy-bahama-4-year-bourbon-whiskey-750ml
Tommy Bahama 4 Year Bourbon Whiskey 750ml

Tommy Bahama Bourbon is a four-year-old American bourbon from Coral Cay Distilling, the spirits arm of the Tommy Bahama island-lifestyle brand, bottled at 93 proof (46.5% ABV).

The recipe is a classic heartland bourbon mash of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley, grown in the Midwest. The spirit is aged for four years in American oak barrels with a #2 char, then brought to proof with pristine, glacier-fed lake water. The 21% rye gives it more spice than a typical wheated or low-rye bourbon, while the corn keeps the core sweet and round.

In the glass it is gold with amber hues. Maple syrup, vanilla, toasted nuts and spice lead the nose, with smoky undertones behind them. The palate brings ripe fruit, chocolate and creamy vanilla, with spice and sweet candied notes of tangerine, and the finish is clean, lingering, smooth and silky.

The bottle wears a lush tropical label in the Tommy Bahama style, which makes it a natural gift for anyone who loves the brand, the beach or a relaxed glass of bourbon at sunset.

Bourbon must be made in the United States from a mash of at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak containers, and straight bourbon must be aged at least two years. Those rules give bourbon its characteristic sweetness, with caramel and vanilla drawn from the charred barrels.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Maple syrup, vanilla, toasted nuts and spice, with smoky undertones.

Palate: Ripe fruit, chocolate, creamy vanilla and candied tangerine.

Finish: Clean, lingering, smooth and silky.

Specifications

Producer: Coral Cay Distilling (Tommy Bahama)

Style: Bourbon whiskey

Age: 4 years

Mash Bill: 75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley

Barrel: #2 char American oak

Proof / ABV: 93 proof (46.5% ABV)

Region: USA

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Sip it neat or on the rocks, or mix it into an Old Fashioned or a bourbon smash.
