uncle-nearest-single-barrel-premium-tennessee-whiskey-barrel-strength-750ml
Uncle Nearest Single Barrel Premium Tennessee Whiskey Barrel Strength 750ml

Uncle Nearest Single Barrel is a barrel-strength Tennessee whiskey, bottled from one hand-selected barrel at a time; this bottling is 119 proof (59.5% ABV).

Uncle Nearest honours Nearest Green, the premier master distiller and teacher of middle Tennessee and the first known African American master distiller. The whiskey is distilled, aged and bottled in middle Tennessee, and the distillery's triple filtration process, including the charcoal mellowing traditional to Tennessee whiskey, gives it the smooth character that distinguishes it from all others.

This single barrel has the most distinct flavour profile of any Uncle Nearest whiskey and is bottled at barrel strength to capture every nuance of a one-of-a-kind spirit. Because each bottle comes from a single barrel, every release has its own character.

Carrying the legacy of its namesake, it makes a meaningful gift for whiskey lovers.

Sip it neat, then add a few drops of water.

American whiskey covers a wide range of styles, from bourbon and rye to single malts and light whiskeys, and independent blenders and small producers have made it one of the most exciting categories in spirits.

Tennessee whiskey is made much like bourbon, from a mash of at least 51% corn aged in new charred oak, but before ageing the new spirit is filtered through sugar maple charcoal, a step known as the Lincoln County Process that softens it.

Barrel strength means the whiskey goes into the bottle exactly as it came out of the barrel, with no water added, so its flavours arrive at full intensity; a few drops of water open up further aromas.

Single barrel whiskeys are never blended with other barrels, so where a barrel sat in the warehouse and how it aged shape the flavour of every bottle drawn from it.

Tasting Notes

Style: Single barrel Tennessee whiskey.

Strength: Barrel strength, 119 proof.

Process: Triple filtration with charcoal mellowing.

Specifications

Producer: Uncle Nearest

Style: Tennessee Whiskey, Single Barrel

Expression / Batch: Single Barrel Premium

Proof / ABV: 119 proof (59.5% ABV)

Region: Middle Tennessee, United States

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Sip it neat or with a little water.
