wild-common-tequila-blanco-750ml
Wild Common Tequila Blanco 750ml

Wild Common Tequila Blanco is a bright, clean, verified additive-free tequila made from 100% blue Weber agave, bottled at 84 proof (42% ABV).

It is produced in the Jalisco Valley at the historic Cascahuín distillery (NOM 1123) by master distiller Salvador Rosales Trejo, known as Chava to friends and family. The agave is roasted slowly for 72 hours in small brick ovens, crushed with both a stone tahona and a roller mill, naturally fermented with the agave fibres and twice distilled in small stainless and copper pot stills.

Complex in profile and highlighting traditional production, it is packed with agave sweetness laced with anise, citrus and minerals. Expect fresh cooked agave, citrus and green herbs on the nose, a bright, mineral palate with white pepper, and a crisp, lively finish of lingering agave and soft pepper.

Bottled slightly above standard strength, it makes a fine gift for tequila lovers.

Sip it neat or mix it into a margarita.

Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.

Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Cooked agave, citrus and green herbs.

Palate: Agave sweetness, anise, citrus, minerals and white pepper.

Finish: Crisp and lively, agave and soft pepper.

Specifications

Producer: Wild Common (Cascahuín, NOM 1123)

Style: Blanco Tequila, additive free

Agave: 100% blue Weber agave

Proof / ABV: 84 proof (42% ABV)

Region: Jalisco Valley, Mexico

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Sip it neat or mix a margarita.
