yellow-rose-outlaw-bourbon-whiskey-750ml
Yellow Rose Outlaw Bourbon Whiskey 750ml

Yellow Rose Outlaw Bourbon is a Texas bourbon made from 100% Texas yellow corn and aged in small American oak barrels in Houston, bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV).

True to its name, it breaks the traditional bourbon rules. Houston's 15 to 20 degree temperature swings give the bourbon characteristics that can only be achieved there, and the angel's share runs at about 15% per year, making the whiskey rare and valuable to the distillery.

Made on a traditional pot still as a true small-batch whiskey, Outlaw is full-flavoured with warm caramel and vanilla overtones.

A bold taste of Texas, it makes a fine gift for bourbon lovers.

Enjoy it neat, on the rocks or in an old fashioned.

Bourbon must be made in the United States from a mash of at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak containers, and straight bourbon must be aged at least two years. Those rules give bourbon its characteristic sweetness, with caramel and vanilla drawn from the charred barrels.

Bourbon must be made from at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak containers, and it can be made anywhere in the United States.

Small barrels give more wood contact relative to their volume, drawing colour and flavour from the oak more quickly.

The angel's share is the portion of whiskey lost to evaporation as it ages in the barrel; hot climates like Texas take a bigger share.

Pot stills distil one batch at a time and tend to give a fuller-flavoured spirit.

Tasting Notes

Grain: 100% Texas yellow corn.

Flavour: Warm caramel and vanilla.

Style: Small-batch, pot distilled.

Specifications

Producer: Yellow Rose Distilling

Style: Bourbon Whiskey, 100% corn

Mash Bill: 100% Texas yellow corn

Proof / ABV: 92 proof (46% ABV)

Cask / Finish: Small American oak barrels

Region: Houston, Texas, United States

Size: 750ml

How to Enjoy It

Enjoy it neat, on the rocks or in an old fashioned.
