Delamain XXO is an exceptional Extra Extra Old cognac made entirely from Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie, the only Premier Cru of Cognac. It is a blend of eaux-de-vie aged between 20 and 35 years and bottled at 40% ABV, presented in an elegant crystal decanter.
XXO is the most senior age category in Cognac, requiring a minimum of 14 years of ageing, and Delamain's blend goes far beyond it. Delamain ages its eaux-de-vie in its historic cellar, the Grand Chai, and the house is known for a refined, elegant style. The long ageing gives the XXO a remarkable aromatic richness, a silky texture and exceptional length.
On the nose come autumn fruits such as fig and ripe lychee, with almond, cardamom and clove. The palate brings cedarwood, soft leather and cigar box, smooth and rich, with layers of stewed pear, gingerbread, raisin bread and dried fig. The finish is long and lingering.
The squat crystal decanter carries a gold collar and an XXO medallion, and it is presented in a deep blue gift box. It is a magnificent gift for a cognac lover or a milestone celebration.
