KAH Extra Añejo is a 100% agave tequila aged for more than three years in American white oak barrels and presented in KAH's signature hand-painted ceramic skull bottle, here in royal green with gold detailing. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
KAH takes its inspiration from Día de los Muertos, and its ceramic skulls, painted in the style of the holiday's calaveras, have become some of the most recognisable bottles in tequila. The extra añejo's royal green skull even glows in the dark.
The nose brings cooked agave, vanilla and caramel. Smooth pepper and smoky wood run through the palate, with sweet spice, honey, maple and oak, and the finish is long and smooth, with vanilla, pepper, caramel and wood spice.

Extra añejo is the most mature category of tequila, created in 2006 for tequilas aged more than three years in oak barrels of no more than 600 litres. The long rest softens the agave's natural pepper and brings out caramel, vanilla and dried fruit, which is why extra añejos are usually enjoyed neat, like a fine cognac or whisky.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
