Perfectomundo Clásico Reposado is a 100% blue Weber agave tequila from the Tequila Valley, triple distilled and aged for just under a year in new white oak barrels, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Perfectomundo was co-founded by DJ and producer Paul Oakenfold, the three-time Grammy nominee behind Perfecto Records, as a passion project. The tequila is made at Fábrica de Tequilas Finos, one of the oldest distilleries in the town of Tequila, at the foot of Tequila Hill, drawing on the craft, tradition and secrets of a renowned tequilero family.
The agave is single-estate from the Tequila Valley of Jalisco, extracted with a roller mill and distilled three times. With control over the whole production cycle, from growing the agave to distilling, the brand aims for an ultra-smooth style.
The reposado then rests for just under a year in new white oak barrels, far longer than many reposados. The barrels, called pipones, can hold batches of up to 10,000 liters, and they give the tequila a mellowed taste, a pleasing bouquet and its pale color while keeping the blue agave character and making it gentler on the palate. Expect cooked agave, vanilla, caramel and oak with a touch of pepper and citrus.
Multi-award winning at competitions in London, San Francisco, Las Vegas and beyond, it is delicious sipped over ice or mixed into classic and modern cocktails.
