Roseisle 14 Year Old is a cask-strength Speyside single malt from Diageo's Special Releases 2025, bottled at 55.9% ABV. Following two 12-year-old releases in 2023 and 2024, it is the oldest Roseisle yet released, matured in refill and rejuvenated casks.
Roseisle distillery, near Burghead on the Moray coast, was built by Diageo and began production in 2010. Its whisky usually goes into blends, so the Special Releases are the only official way to taste it as a single malt, and this release shows how the spirit has developed with a few more years in wood.
Elegant, fruity and gently spiced, it opens with apple peel, pear skin, lemon, green plum and fresh-cut grass, with honeysuckle and vanilla custard. The palate brings citrus, vanilla and honeycomb with shortbread, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg, and the finish carries aniseed and ginger.
Presented in a pink tube with a vivid floral design, it is a lovely gift and a collectable piece of the Special Releases series.
Try it neat first, then add a few drops of water to open it up.
Scotch whisky must be distilled and matured in Scotland for at least three years in oak casks, and any age statement on the label refers to the youngest whisky in the bottle.
