Terralta Reposado is a 100% agave tequila from highland-grown blue Weber agave, rested in oak and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Terralta follows a production philosophy rooted in restraint and authenticity, using traditional methods and minimal intervention so the spirit can speak for itself. It delivers the kind of honest, agave-forward character that serious tequila drinkers seek out and return to.
The reposado rests in oak just long enough to develop warmth and complexity without masking the agave: bright highland agave with a soft layer of oak.
Its tall, clean bottle with the mountain emblem makes it an understated gift for tequila lovers.
Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
A reposado, or rested tequila, ages from two months to less than a year in oak.
Highland agave, grown in red clay soils at higher altitude, tends to give a sweeter, fruitier and more floral tequila.
Minimal intervention means no additives, letting the agave and the oak speak for themselves.
Reposados are versatile, smooth enough to sip yet lively in cocktails.
Try it in a reposado Margarita for a warmer, rounder take on the classic.
