The Tincup Adventure Pack is a double-walled stainless steel canteen filled with 375ml of Tincup Original Mountain Whiskey, a blend of high-rye straight bourbon and Colorado single malt, bottled at 84 proof (42% ABV).
Tincup is named after the Colorado mining town of Tin Cup and the metal cups miners drank their whiskey from. Founded by Jess Graber and introduced in 2014, it honors today's adventure seekers and the early Rocky Mountain pioneers who first set up camp. As Graber put it, life is too short to drink bad whiskey.
Tincup Original is a marriage of two American whiskeys, each aged in charred oak barrels: a high-rye straight bourbon, distilled and aged in Indiana from a mash of 64% corn, 32% rye and 4% malted barley, blended with a small amount of Colorado single malt from its sister distillery Stranahan's. The blend is cut with Rocky Mountain water and bottled at an elevation of 5,251 feet.
Caramel in color, it shows aromas of citrus, black pepper and ginger snaps, with rye spice, cinnamon and caramel on the palate and a clean finish. It was named Best American Blended Whiskey at the 2018 World Whiskies Awards.
The ultra-durable, reusable canteen goes where glass doesn't, staying insulated on the trail, on the lake or atop the mountain, and its smaller size frees up space in your pack. Sip it from the cap, your camping mug or a cocktail glass.
