Clase Azul Día de Muertos Edición Limitada 2025, "Recuerdos", is the fifth and final chapter of Clase Azul's five-year Nuestros Recuerdos series celebrating the Day of the Dead. This añejo tequila from Los Altos de Jalisco is presented in a hand-crafted ivory ceramic decanter with a gold locket, and is limited to 10,000 bottles worldwide.
Each year of the series has explored a different side of the Day of the Dead, and Recuerdos, meaning memories, closes it on the theme of remembrance. The decanter was illustrated by artist Erika Rivera, and its centrepiece is a locket holding a polished obsidian cameo framed by milagritos, the small devotional charms found throughout Mexican folk tradition. Like every Clase Azul decanter, it is made by hand, so each piece is a work of craft as much as a bottle, and it arrives in a dark presentation box decorated in gold.
Master Distiller Viridiana Tinoco created the tequila itself. It blends añejo tequilas aged between 12 and 38 months in first-use American whiskey casks, giving it a rich, rounded profile in which cooked agave sits alongside caramel, spice and gentle smoke. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a generous one-litre decanter, so there is plenty to share during the season of remembrance.

How to Enjoy It
Sip it neat at room temperature or with a single large ice cube to bring out the caramel and orange peel. It pairs beautifully with pan de muerto, dark chocolate or mole. Many collectors keep the decanter on display long after the tequila is gone, and as the closing piece of the five-year series it makes a meaningful gift for anyone who collects Clase Azul.
