Ron Zacapa 23 Solera Gran Reserva is a Guatemalan rum made from the first press of sugar cane and aged at 2,300 meters in the highlands above the clouds, bottled at 40% ABV.
The altitude slows the aging, and the rum matures in the Sistema Solera in casks that held American whiskey, sherry and Pedro Ximénez.
The notes are dried fruit, honey, spice and cocoa, with a finish of honey and caramel.
