Angel's Envy built its name on the art of the cask finish, and the Cellar Collection is where the Louisville distillery takes its boldest swings. Volume 6, the 2026 release, is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey with two finishes instead of one: peach brandy casks and toasted oak barrels. It is a once-a-year, limited bottling and one of the most unusual ryes of the season.
The Cellar Collection began in 2019 as Angel's Envy's special release program, led by Master Distiller Owen Martin. The first three volumes explored fortified wine casks, finishing the distillery's bourbon in Oloroso sherry, Tawny Port and Madeira barrels, and the series turned to rye with Volume 5 in 2025. Each release arrives in the brand's signature curved bottle with a presentation box, and each has been produced in limited quantities.
Volume 6 starts with Kentucky straight rye whiskey distilled between 2014 and 2018, so the youngest whiskey in the blend has had years in new oak before any finishing began. The batch was then divided. One portion spent up to 23 months in casks that previously held peach brandy, drawing ripe stone-fruit character from the wood; the other rested for up to 12 months in toasted oak barrels, which add vanilla, caramel and spice. The two were then married back together and bottled at 106.4 proof. Angel's Envy has not published the exact proportions of the final blend.

How to Enjoy It
Pour it neat first to see how the two finishes play together, then add a few drops of water: at 106.4 proof the peach and spice open noticeably. It makes a memorable Old Fashioned with a peach or orange twist, and it stands up to a medium-bodied cigar with a Connecticut or Habano wrapper. In its presentation box it is an easy choice for the rye drinker or Angel's Envy collector who already owns the core range.
