Chartreuse Yellow is a French herbal liqueur made from 130 plants, flowers, barks, roots and spices, bottled at 43% ABV.
The Carthusian monks at the Grande Chartreuse grind and prepare the plant mixtures, followed by distillation and several maceration steps over weeks. It ages in oak casks before bottling.
It is milder and sweeter than Green Chartreuse, with wildflower honey, cardamom, anise and citrus zest.
