Blackened Rye The Lightning is a blend of straight rye whiskeys hand-selected by master distiller Rob Dietrich, vatted and finished for 2 to 14 weeks each in Madeira wine and Caribbean rum casks, and bottled non chill filtered.

The whiskeys go through Blackened's BLACK NOISE sonic-enhancement process.

The 2024 edition shows green apple, barn hay, caramel and banana bread on the nose, and pear, honeysuckle, muscovado and cinnamon on the palate.
