WhistlePig PiggyBack is a 6 year old 100% rye aged in American oak and bottled at 96.56 proof, a nod to Dave Pickerell's birth year of 1956.
Pickerell developed it with master blender Pete Lynch, and it debuted in 2019 as a permanent part of the WhistlePig range. The rye is sourced in Canada rather than distilled in Vermont.
The official notes describe fresh cinnamon, black pepper and a hint of citrus, with cocoa, cardamom and cured leather.
