Laphroaig Cairdeas Cask Favourites Released 2024 10 year 700ml

Laphroaig Càirdeas 2024 Cask Favourites is a 10 year old Islay single malt that blends casks from the 2019 Triple Wood and 2021 PX Cask releases, bottled at a fixed 52.4% ABV (104.8 proof).

The whisky matured in ex-bourbon, European oak and Oloroso sherry barrels. The Càirdeas release is a yearly tribute to the Friends of Laphroaig, timed to coincide with Feis Ile, Islay's whisky festival.

The 2024 edition marks 30 years of Friends of Laphroaig.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Brazil nut toffee brittle, vanilla custard and baking spice, then chocolate-covered raisins and spiced orange.
• Palate: Sweet, oily and rich with smoked orange toffee, stewed peach and a smouldering campfire character.
• Finish: Dried fruit, coffee grounds and liquorice root, turning peppery and peat-smoky.
