Sông Cái Spiced Roselle Gin is made by Vietnam's first gin distillery in Hanoi, bottled at 32.5% ABV in a 700ml bottle.
It is inspired by traditional Vietnamese fruit liqueurs and the Central Highlands, whose red basalt soils grow the wild rose myrtle berry called quả sim. Rose myrtle berries and hibiscus buds are macerated in the gin base for a year, with black cardamom, citron and hạt dổi seed among the botanicals.
The base is a rice and molasses neutral spirit distilled in pot stills.
