Nikka Miyagikyo Single Malt comes from Nikka's second distillery in Sendai, built in 1969 by founder Masataka Taketsuru as a contrast to coastal Yoichi.
It uses less peated malt, distilled in pot stills heated by indirect steam, producing a lighter, fruitier whisky with sherry influence.
It carries no age statement and is bottled at 45% ABV.
