Port Charlotte SC:01 2012 is a 9-year heavily peated Islay single malt matured in sherry butts and American whiskey barrels, then finished in Sauternes casks, at 55.2%.
The barley was malted to 40 ppm and was 100% Islay grown, a first for the series. It replaced PAC:01 as the next Cask Exploration bottling.
The 'SC' in the name refers to the Sauternes finish.
